DHA Architects have been working on a project to construct a new energy and resource centre on part of The Forge site in Kidderminster.

The practice worked alongside an extensive design team to develop designs which met the brief of the end user - the operator of an energy centre which uses waste which would otherwise be taken to landfill as the raw materials for sustainable power generation.

Alongside end user requirements, the practice worked closely with specialist consultants to to develop a sensitive response to the existing context, including responding to a range of ecological constraints, flood risk issues, infrastructure, noise and ensuring the design worked within the constraints set out by the project environmental strategy.
