DHA Architects have worked with County To County on 2 neighbouring buildings on London Road, Cheltenham, to re-vitalise and create a variety of residential dwellings.

First, the practice undertook a full refurbishment of a 4 storey Georgian townhouse + basement to create 5 apartments.

Meanwhile, next door, a vacant motor servicing garage with approval for demolition and re-build as an apartment block was given a complete re-think by the client and treated to a sympathetic conversion to 2 generous high-spec townhouses with private gardens and separate home office / studio spaces.

The scheme took into account a remediation strategy and some tricky structural and acoustic detailing.
