DHA Architects obtained planning approval for the construction of 10 family houses within a new cul-de-sac development off one of the main routes into Gloucester.

The houses were constructed using a timber frame with masonry outer walls, combining the benefits of the increased build speed of the framing technique with the traditional appearance and domestic detailing of a load-bearing structure.

A courtyard feel was given to the cul-de-sac through the use of a shared surface access driveway which blurs pedestrian and vehicular space.
